BSAR searchers travelled to Corryong on Tuesday 6 October 2015 to assist in the search for a missing bushwalker near Mt Burrowa in the Burrowa-Pine National Park. Â
The missing person was spotted from the Police helicopter just as BSAR searchers arrived in Corryong.
BSAR members assisted in a search for a missing woman on Mt Erica. The missing woman was located on 26 August. A second large contingent were ready to assist but were not deployed as the woman was found.
BSAR members participated in the rescue of an injured skier on Mt Bogong on 12 August 2015 in overcast weather and snow showers following a local call out by Mt Beauty Police.
The rescue involved a stretcher haul from Tadgell Point then down Eskdale Spur to Michel Hut under the supervision of Police SAR.

BSAR searchers and other emergency services workers directly involved in the search for Luke Shambrook over Easter were thanked in State Parliament on Wednesday 22 April by Premier Daniel Andrews, the Minister for Emergency Services, Jane Garrett and Luke’s parents. The thanks for our efforts was warmly appreciated.
