Mount Bogong rescue of injured skier 12 Aug 2015

BSAR members participated in the rescue of an injured skier on Mt Bogong on 12 August 2015 in overcast weather and snow showers following a local call out by Mt Beauty Police.

The rescue involved a stretcher haul from Tadgell Point then down Eskdale Spur to Michel Hut under the supervision of Police SAR.

Injured skier rescued from Mt Bogong, September 2014

On Tuesday 2nd September 2014 a local call-out was issued for a carry-out of an injured person from Eskdale Spur. Two BSAR members in the North East joined a team of Police, SES, a ski patroller and a paramedic to evacuate the person down the Eskdale Spur track from Michell hut.

Premier, Minister for Emergency Services and family thank emergency services workers

BSAR searchers and other emergency services workers directly involved in the search for Luke Shambrook over Easter were thanked in State Parliament on Wednesday 22 April by Premier Daniel Andrews, the Minister for Emergency Services, Jane Garrett and Luke’s parents. The thanks for our efforts was warmly appreciated.
